Jacek Sykulski: Peace Meditation

Take a seat and listen to the beautiful and comforting British choral music (William Byrd and Orlando Gibbons) and, as the highlight of the evening, the Peace Meditation : a work written by Jacek Sykulski after the attack on the Twin Towers in 2001. Written for a choir, but without words, because the suffering could not be expressed in words. The singers each find their own place in the space of the Oude Kerk. And so you too can find a place to meditate in the heart of Amsterdam.
